Terms & Conditions

The rules that govern bookings, payments, responsibilities, and use of Dainty Care services.

01

About Dainty Care

Dainty Care is a childcare and babysitting service that connects families with vetted caregivers for temporary childcare. Our goal is to provide safe, reliable, and professional childcare while supporting both families and caregivers.

02

Definitions

"Dainty Care" refers to the company, management, employees, contractors, representatives, and authorized caregivers.

"Parent" or "Client" means any individual who books childcare through Dainty Care.

"Babysitter" or "Caregiver" means any approved childcare provider working through Dainty Care.

"Child" means any minor receiving care through Dainty Care.

"Booking" means any childcare service arranged through Dainty Care.

03

Eligibility

Clients must be at least 18 years old, provide accurate information, and have legal authority to arrange childcare for the child. Caregivers must satisfy Dainty Care's application, identity, reference, screening, and onboarding requirements before accepting bookings.

04

Services

Dainty Care facilitates short-term and recurring childcare bookings and may provide matching, scheduling, communication, payment, support, and safety processes. The specific scope, duration, location, number of children, and care instructions are confirmed for each booking.

05

Booking Requirements

Parents must provide complete and accurate booking information, including the care address, times, number and ages of children, emergency contacts, medical or dietary needs, household expectations, and any known safety concerns.

A booking is confirmed only when accepted through the Dainty Care service. Changes to time, location, children, or duties may affect caregiver availability and pricing.

06

Pricing & Fees

Rates and applicable fees are shown before booking confirmation or communicated in writing. Pricing may vary by duration, number of children, notice period, time of day, service type, special requirements, or public holiday demand.

Additional time or duties requested during a booking may be charged at the applicable rate.

07

Payment Terms

Clients authorize Dainty Care and its payment providers to collect confirmed booking charges, applicable fees, and approved adjustments. Payments must be made using an accepted method and may be subject to verification.

Refunds, credits, late cancellations, and no-shows are handled under the policy presented at booking or otherwise communicated for the service.

08

Parent Responsibilities

Parents and guardians are responsible for providing a safe care environment, accurate instructions, reachable emergency contacts, required medication instructions, suitable food and supplies, and timely arrival and return.

  • Disclose allergies, health conditions, behavioral needs, and household hazards before care begins.
  • Identify every person authorized to collect the child.
  • Keep pets, weapons, medicines, chemicals, and unsafe items secured.
  • Treat caregivers respectfully and do not request unlawful, unsafe, or undisclosed work.
09

Babysitter Responsibilities

Caregivers must arrive on time, remain attentive, follow lawful care instructions, maintain professional boundaries, protect confidential information, and promptly report emergencies, injuries, hazards, or significant concerns.

  • Maintain active, age-appropriate supervision at all times.
  • Do not use alcohol, illegal drugs, or impairing substances before or during care.
  • Do not bring unauthorized visitors or remove a child from the agreed location without permission.
  • Use phones and personal devices only when necessary for care, safety, or communication.
10

Child Safety

The safety and wellbeing of every child takes priority over convenience, schedules, or personal preferences. All users must follow Dainty Care's safety and safeguarding requirements. Abuse, neglect, exploitation, corporal punishment, intimidation, and unsafe conduct are prohibited.

11

Emergencies

In an urgent or life-threatening situation, the caregiver should contact the appropriate emergency service first, provide reasonable immediate assistance within their training, and notify the parent and Dainty Care as soon as safely possible.

Parents authorize reasonable emergency action when they cannot be reached, but remain responsible for medical decisions and related costs except where the law provides otherwise.

12

Health & Medical

Parents must disclose information necessary for safe care. Caregivers may administer medicine only with clear written instructions and where the task is permitted, understood, and within their competence. Dainty Care may decline or end a booking where health needs cannot be safely supported.

13

Photography & Media

No user may photograph, record, publish, or distribute images, audio, video, personal documents, or private details relating to a child, caregiver, family, or home without clear prior permission. Permission for a private care update does not authorize public posting.

14

Confidentiality

Users must protect private information learned through a booking or the Dainty Care service. Confidential information includes addresses, access codes, schedules, health information, family circumstances, payment details, private communications, and any information about children.

15

Non-Circumvention

Families and caregivers introduced through Dainty Care must not move current or future bookings outside the service to avoid agreed fees, safety processes, or payment protections. Direct arrangements may result in account restriction, recovery of applicable fees, or termination of access.

16

Liability

Dainty Care takes reasonable steps to screen caregivers and support safe bookings but cannot guarantee that every risk will be eliminated. To the extent permitted by law, Dainty Care is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential loss, or for loss caused by inaccurate information, undisclosed hazards, unauthorized arrangements, or conduct outside the agreed service.

Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.

17

Force Majeure

Dainty Care is not responsible for delay or inability to perform caused by events beyond reasonable control, including severe weather, public emergencies, transport disruption, power or network failure, government action, epidemic, civil unrest, or similar events.

18

Changes & Termination

We may update these terms, change service features, restrict access, suspend an account, cancel a booking, or end a user's participation where reasonably necessary for safety, legal compliance, non-payment, policy violations, misuse, or service operations.

Material changes will be communicated through the service or other appropriate notice. Continued use after the effective date means the updated terms apply.

19

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Ghana. Users should first contact Dainty Care in good faith to resolve any concern. Questions about these terms may be sent to [email protected] or raised by calling +233 54 598 5633.
